Walks for schools through culture, history and belief in Cambridge
Welcome to Footsteps of Faith
October 7, 2011Posted by on
Footprints of Faith are a series of themed, self-guided, walks for primary school groups around the historic centre of Cambridge.
Written and designed by a qualified teacher.
Reviewed by Cambridge historians, Christian Heritage and a primary school Head of Humanities.
Recommended by the Diocese of Ely Schools RE advisor.
Cross-curricula between History and RE but also linked to sections of the Geography and Citizenship National Curriculum.
Created with a spirit of openness and questioning; respecting all beliefs whilst exploring our shared Christian heritage.
Come and LEARN how Christians in Cambridge have shaped local, national and international history.
Come and SEE the beautiful places where these people lived, studied, worked and worshiped.
Come and DO activities designed to deepen understanding.
Come and THINK about the relevance of the stories to the world we live in today.
A springboard to further creative, cross-curricula work when you return to the classroom.
